New Rafting Base in Bovec
Many of you have asked why we have been a little quieter over the past few months. The answer is simple: we have been working full steam ahead so that from this summer, we can welcome you at a more comfortable and beautiful base than ever before. We have found our new headquarters in one of the quietest and most beautiful parts of Bovec, right by the stream.
Where are we now?
We are not just making promises — the most visible part of the work is already behind us:
- Guest comfort: The interior renovation of the guide house is slowly coming to an end. This is where we have created the changing room, shower and restroom facilities for you, so you can get ready before and after your tour in comfortable and well-equipped surroundings.
- Logistics: The landscaping work has been completed, and the parking area has been covered with gravel, so you can park comfortably and mud-free right next to the base.
- The foundations of the equipment storage area: The concrete foundation for the new home of our neoprene suits, shoes, helmets and life jackets has already been completed.
What comes next?
We are not slowing down before the season starts:
- Exterior renewal: Next comes the construction of the retaining wall and the exterior painting of the house. We are not leaving the latter to chance: we will ask for advice from the experts at JUB, who have been returning guests of ours for many years, to help us choose the perfect colours.
- A homely base: We will build the service buildings and begin greening the area. With plants, comfortable tables and chairs, we will make the base feel welcoming and homely, so you will enjoy spending time with us.
When do we open?
The work is progressing according to schedule. Until mid-June, we will welcome you at our familiar location in the centre of Bovec, and from then on, we will gradually move over to the new base.
